Been watching updates on the Jerry Sandusky Trial.
Debate question:
Do you think it's appropriate for adults to shower with children?
Please elaborate on your opinion, and state same sex, opposite sex, relative, age of child, in what situations, etc.
Looking forward to getting your responses.

Meh. I don't care for it, but I think if it's going to happen, then it needs to be with the parent who is of the same sex as the child because you know the child is going to have questions, and you're going to want them to get the right answers. That's not to say the other parent would give them the wrong answer, but the parent of the same sex might know more. Plus, they could also show them the proper way to wash themselves. Age wise, probably 3-4 would be considered a "beneficial" time frame for it to happen, but I'm still a fan of giving a kid a bath on their own. I think it should only happen with the child's parents and no one else, and only if the child asks. I wouldn't push it on them because that's weird.

I agree with everything you said. We had baths until we were 5, then showered alone. My mom would check on us.
My mom's cousin always offered to take a bath with us when we were toddlers to help my mom out and thankfully my mom wouldn't allow it. Her cousin had no kids and i guess she thought my mom bathed with us to make sure we didn't drown. My mom said she was shocked when she realized she was intending to get into the tub too. She wasn't concerned about anything inappropriate but was thinking more of how unsanitary it would be for us and how we had never seen a naked adult.
I don't see how a lot of Sandusky supporters are saying it's okay in a sports setting for that to happen. Yeah they shower openly with kids their age but not an adult.

In a sports setting, it is completely different. I would be more than pissed to find out that the coach of my childs team was showering with them, male or female.
