Watched his memorial service, very sad. Maybe now he'll be left alone, but i doubt it.

I turned it off, I felt uncomfortable watching his death being exploited

That's you're opinion. His death was being shared with those who loved him. It wasn't a showy dance fest. It was a somber funeral type ceremony. His fans would have been disappointed if it was private.

That is my opinion, and I've explained why I hold it to you. I don't feel it represented quite what a genius he was, he was sold short in it.

If you watched the whole thing, you would have seen more of his music and how Berry Gordy signed them. He expressed his genius and there was videos showing his music thru the years and his famous moonwalk. Like it was stated it was more of a "going home" for him, which is why it was somber. There were other shows that showcased his talent although Jamie Foxx did him no justice.

I was too uncomfortable to watch the whole thing though, it's not my fault that I reacted that way. I watched the first 35 mins then saw the last 20 mins. I'm entitled to hold my opinion, and I know I won't be alone in holding it as several people I've spoken to hold the same one. I'm not disrespecting him at all, but I just didn't see it as fitting

No one said you had to. I only said what the memorial service was about, i didn't express an opinion on it. Since you didn't see the whole thing, i was explaining to you that the history of his rise to stardom was shown. You decided after seeing it that it was an exploit and didn't show his genius but they did showcase his music and talk about what a genius he was from a young age. People who knew him talked about him, his songs were played, there were videos focusing on his most famous songs. What more should have been done? That's the good thing, if you don't like something you see on tv, you can change the channel.

There was a huge vigil last night at the O2 when he was meant to play his first gig. Went past it today and there was so many people

It's crazy. There's a circular path around the Dome which when you go there for gigs and stuff the crowds fill up, right now it's full of flowers and memorabilia making it quite hard to get inside the actual place. They're talking a bout 29th August being a huge birthday bash there for him with his siblings playing a date, which only leaves them with another 150 days to fill with another act at short notice!
