news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7407589.stmMPs have debated whether the creation of hybrid embryos which combine human and animal elements in the hope of finding treatments for certain diseases. What do you think? Do you think they should have been given the chance to make something like this? ... imagine your genes with an animals... I agree with Mr Leigh: "In embryos, we do have the genetic make up of a complete human being and we could not and should not be spliced together with the animal kingdom." I know it may cure many diseases but I also know for a fact that they won't stop there, they might even do worse things like Sir Gerald Kaufman said, "If you permit the creation of hybrid embryos now, what will you seek to permit next time, even if you have no idea where it will lead?".

If it can be used to cure diseases that have previously been deemed not curable, I'm all for hybrid embryos.
"In embryos, we do have the genetic make up of a complete human being and we could not and should not be spliced together with the animal kingdom."
Is he saying that we aren't part of the animal kingdom, because last time I checked, all humans are animals.
