Do you think drug testing should be done? When do you think it should be done?

I think in some jobs it should be done. Like a pilot etc. someone who's impaired judgment could cause a lot of damage. I don't think jobs like the guys at the hardware store need to be tested though, but they are.

I agree. Any job where it could cause major damage to judgement and such, it should be done. I think teachers too though.

Drugs are up to the individual if they use them, therefore they should be able to use them freely when they want to AS LONG AS they aren't putting anyone but themselves in danger. However, testing should always be a last resort, and am glad to live in a society where testing isn't deemed necessary in order to monitor people's habits and provide adiquite security of people's lives through either lack of prevention at earlier stages or through negligence letting it become a danger. Testing is invasive and can give mistakes in the results, as well as abusing certain human rights

If the guy at the hardware store has to operate machinery, which many of them do, they should very well be tested.

I'm talking about a Home Depot clerk. They're randomly tested.

I was thinking of what we have around here, Turneys. The most someone does is make keys.

Drug testing should be done at all jobs. I know if I was the owner of my own company I wouldnt want to hire or employ drug adicts. So I think drug test should be done when someone is hired at a job and then it should be done randomly throughout the year.

If a worker has been convicted of something with drugs, it would be on their records.

If a worker has been convicted of something with drugs, it would be on their records. For workers like this, I believe that they should also have random drug tests to make sure that they are clean.

But how many are convicted? Most drug users aren't.

If anything with drugs has happend in their past though it will come up. They may not have been convicted of like buying illegal drugs, but there are ways for it to be in their records.

Yeah. Even if they were caught selling drugs, there's a chance that they were doing them, so they should be tested.
