I think it depends also on religion. The first argument that is always used, is the Bible and Adam and Eve. My family is Christian and completely against it. But we have several gay men and lesbian women in the family, who they get along with. It's the marriage part of it that bothers so many.

What I find weird is some of my family doesn't mind the whole gay part between people, but once they see them kiss or make-out it's like too much for them..

My aunt wouldn't go to this gay guy's wedding who she knew since he was little. His sister didn't go either. They communicate a lot with him, he was just in NY last week, but the wedding was too much for them.

He's a free spirit, always happy, so it didn't seem to affect him. Unfortunately, his husband was walking the dog last summer and had a heart attack and died. They had only been married a year.

About five years. He's a hairdresser and did celebrity hair in NY. He moved to "Florida" and opened up a salon there.
