Talk about straightener you use, what products you use with it, how often you straighten.

Remmington (S9901) "Straight In A Stroke". I've only had them a week and they seem to be working better than my old Treseme ones (that blew up once I unplugged them ). They've got ceramic, diamond, teflon floating plates, heat up to 230C in 30 seconds and came with hair clip, comb and safety mat. Given that my dad picked them he didn't do badly! I use Andrew Collinge heat protection spray before and John Frieda finishing creme and spray after. I straighten my hair maybe 5 times a week, more r less depending on what I'm doing. This week I've only straightened it twice

I use a Helen of Troy ceramic straightener. Well, I have one plus that's what my sister uses when she straightens my hair. Also, whatever Brown Institute or Avantis has straightens my hair.
I very rarely straighten my hair. It takes me 3-1/2 hours to do it myself, so Debbie will straighten it if she dyes it or feels like it.
As for the protection on my hair, I have this creme and gel type stuff from Avantis that leaves a protective barrier. It works REALLY well.
