What exactly does Wifey or wife mean? Like, obviously I know what a wife is but when it's 2 people dating.

It can mean that one finds you to be wife material or they just feel as you are theirs.

Kyle calls me his wife or wifey. Like not to my face but he'll say I'm his wife or wifey. I was like, what?
He said like all his team mates on his soccer team call their girlfriends that.
Does it have anything to do with the length of time the reltionship has been going on?

To me "wifey" is just another name for girlfriend. In my dad's day they called their girlfriends "mama". It doesn't have anything to do with how long you've been together. It's like this is my main girl.
