Cricket is pretty easy to understand if you have about 30 hours to learn. Any less time than that and it's just not enough! Basic point of it is to score more runs than the opposing team before 10 players are out which can happen through a variety of ways - LBW, caught out, bowled out, stumped out etc etc You score one run for every rotation and an automatic 6 runs for hitting the ball outside of the boundary without it touching the ground before it reaches the boundary, 4 if it rolls out of the boundary, then they don't have to run to get the runs That's the basics

I haven't taken the time to learn lacrosse. all i know is they throw the ball and try to catch it in that thingy. lol
