What are your views on abortion? Are you Pro-life or Pro-choice?

I'd have to say I'm pro-choice.

It's up to the individual

I agree, it's their choice, but i hope they would choose abortion as a last resort.

Pro-life...i understand it should be the individuals choice but unless the person may die if they have the baby then there is really no need...there are always other options....

So you would force the mother to have the child even if it put her at the risk of death herself?

no..i'm saying if there was a risk of her dying then it would be her choice to have the baby or abort it..

Another topic of a different debate in biology... I am pro-life to an extent. If the mother's health is in danger, I believe it is her right to have an abortion. There are other exceptions I have [which I'm drawing a blank on now.] but if someone just made the wrong decision and didn't use protection. It's there fault... The baby shouldn't have to suffer.

Here's another question.. If a woman knew her baby was going to be mentally challenged, is it okay for the mother to get an abortion?

hmm..yes but thats something that they would have to live with...personally killing a baby just because its mentally retarded is pretty low...there is always a chance that the baby won't be what you first expected...

I think that's completely wrong for a woman to get an abortion if her baby would be mentally challenged. Her child is a child made to be in this world. So if he/she needs some extra help and a little more attention, that's no reason to kill an innocent child.

kids are always hard work and if the parents could spend a little extra time on the mentally challanged child they kid might be more "normal" (i hate saying it like that) so to speak...

Well right, it's in the hands of the parents. It's no reason to kill a child.

No, it's still their child regardless of how it comes out. They shouldn't be able to abort it for that reason.
How about if a woman was brutally raped and got pregnant from that. Should she be made to carry that child that's a reminder of that rape?
