We're probably the only street in our town and neighboring ones that still have a well. We don't drink the water though.
We always have Poland Spring. We used to have Deer Park, but my dad switched.
I drink a lot of it. Most bottled waters have a funny taste, but i like Poland Spring.

I don't like the taste of bottled water. Surprisingly, Costco brand, Kirkland, I don't mind. And Giant Eagle brand. My mom buys Kirkland for her at work, but I always take like half the thing. haha We have well water though. It's yummy. I'll drink that if I don't have my Kirkland

Yeah. My mom did too, she said it was the best tasting water. When they built the house they had the water tested but still didn't trust the wells. She said when she was young, there was a ban on laundry detergent in our county because there were complaints of it contaminating wells. The ban lasted about two years. Most people had public water then, so there wasn't a concern anymore. So she got used to not trusting the wells.

Personally, I think buying tap water is stupid. What's the point when it comes out of your tap? I do love water though, its so refreshing and healthy! In fact, I'm going to just go and pour myself a glass...

The point is because we also have individual cesspools for sewage. Our well can be yards from someone's cesspool. No telling what's happening under ground.

Ours is right in the front a few feet from the front door. There's a big thingy sticking up and we have to camouflage it with gigantic rocks. The well guy put the well where the livingroom was supposed to be and they had to build the house 50 feet back from where they wanted it. Guess he couldn't read the house plans right. The funny thing is that the same well guy is still in business, 18 years later and he replaced our water tank last month.

They aren't many wells left on Long Island, so people are glad to find someone who can help them when they have a problem.

Well water. I prefer it over bottle water. It's all the same. No worries bout our well though cos the areas where I live has the best well water in the county. =]

We're the only street in our town that has wells. no one cares about testing them. The best water i ever had, was from a natural spring near here. Not many people know it exists.

Mine comes straight out the tap! I only buy bottled water when I'm out and need a drink. In France we can't drink the tap water so we have to buy bottled water so we only drink Evian or Volvic, they're the best two!
